Step 4: Students will be provided with a rubric for what they will be graded on for the Beowulf film.
Step 5: Students will now have a brainstorming session to pick a character, be it Beowulf himself or other main character's like Grendel, to do a background story on. Each group will summit which character they choose with a brief explanation of why they choose that character and possible character development.
Assessment 2: The teacher will pick up the explanation and provide feedback.
Step 6: Students will work on the script. The script will be revised as needed to get a check on it.
Assessment 3: Each script will need to be peer-evaluated by the group members, then revised. The revision then will be turned in to the teacher pass or still needs improvement. The teacher will also provide appropriate feedback. At the end scripts must be turned in for a grade.
Step 7: Once the script is complete, students will start working on the story board and props for the film. They will also choose actors if not assigned yet.
Assessment 4: Peer evaluations of the story boards. The story boards will be turned in with the film for a grade.
Step 8: Students will shoot the film.
Step 9: Students will edit the film.
Step 10: Students will show the film to the class. Each student is given extra rubrics to assess each groups film as well as provide comments on what they liked.
