Parental Involvement
1. Make phone calls home.
2. Send notes home.
3. Have conferences about students work.
4. Fun school/class functions for the whole family.
5. Create a class web page where parents can regularly log in to see what the class is doing.
6. Send a newsletter home about events/things the students are doing and outline what the students will be doing during the upcoming weeks.
7. Have a workshop where parents can come in and talk to the teacher and other parents about concerns, thing that they like, and where they feel there could be improvement.
8. Interactive homework once or twice a week. Send a letter home explaining what interactive homework is and what your (the teachers) expectations are. Have the parents sign it. It’s important to let the parents know that they should be involved.
